McLean Youth Track and Field provides Northern Virginia kids (ages 5 through middle school) with opportunities to learn about, compete in and develop a love for track and field.

My my My my
MYTF Golden Rules

We have very few hard-and-fast rules at McLean Youth Track.  But we are unbending about the following three rules:

Positive Coaching - Whether you have the official title of coach or not, all adults who participate in our meets and practices have a role in encouraging our kids to strive for their personal best.  MYTF is committed to positive coaching that encourages kids to
appreciate their best effort even if they fall short of the desired result.  We expect respect for the sport, the athletes, and the coaches and volunteers.  We do not tolerate yelling, abusive comments, or negative attitudes.  If that is the manner in which you choose to motivate your child(ren), our program is not the right program for you.

Volunteering -
McLean Youth Track and Field could not function without the generous support of our parent volunteers.  We expect each family to make a volunteer commitment at Meets, practices and/or with back-office tasks during the season.

Adult Supervision - While participating in MYTF meets, practices and other events, your child(ren) must always be under the supervision of a desigated adult (other than a coach).  You may not drop off your child(ren) at a meet or practice.  Please ensure that you or a designated adult is available to supervise your child(ren) at MYTF events.

Please let us know if you have any questions about our MYTF Golden Rules.
