Coach: Christina Wells
Coach Christina began running at the age of 11 when her dad challenged his tomboy daughter to try Cross Country. She loved competing against herself every race and the instant camaraderie with teammates and friends from all over the world. She became a 2-time Kentucky State High School Cross Country Champ, met her husband at Western KY University (where they both ran Cross Country & Track), won multiple All-Conference accolades and Conference Titles, and was honored as the NCAA Woman of the Year for the state of KY. Christina ran some of her best races after college, including a 2:40 marathon PR in Chicago (2002), a top 25 finish at the 2004 US Olympic Team Marathon Trials, and multiple top 10-15 finishes in US Road and Cross Country Championship. After 30 years of running, Christina no longer chases finish lines, but chases early morning alone time on her daily run....before chasing her 5 children for the rest of the day. Christina is super excited to see her children joining others in the sport that has shaped her life!
